Directions

APH Birmingham Short Run Parking is just 5 minutes from Birmingham Airport by shuttle bus. It’s located on Bickenhill Parkway, right next to the Premier Inn.

For Satnav Users

Use postcode B40 1QB, but note this covers a wide area. Your satnav may direct you to the Holiday Inn Express or the Little Owl pub.
If this happens:

Return to the nearby roundabout. Follow signs for Elmdon Industrial Estate, Airport, or Train Station. You’ll find APH Birmingham Short Run at the first exit of the next roundabout, just past the Premier Inn on the left-hand side.

Directions from the M6 (Southbound, from the north)

  1. Leave the M6 at Junction 4.
  2. Take the 3rd exit, then after about 500 metres take the slip road signposted Brownhills A452.
  3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit for the B4438.
  4. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit to continue on the B4438.
  5. Take the 1st exit at the following roundabout.
  6. The car park will be on your left, just after the Premier Inn.

Directions from the M6 (Northbound, from the south)

  1. Leave the M6 at Junction 4.
  2. Take the 1st exit, then after 500 metres take the slip road for Brownhills A452.
  3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit for the B4438.
  4. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on the B4438.
  5. At the following roundabout, take the 1st exit.
  6. The car park is on the left, just beyond the Premier Inn.

Directions from the M42 (Northbound, from the south)

  1. Exit the M42 at Junction 6.
  2. Keep right and take the 4th exit, following signs for A45 Coventry.
  3. Stay in the nearside lane and take the slip road for A452 Brownhills.
  4. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit signposted A452 Brownhills.
  5. As the road splits, bear left, remaining in the nearside lane, still signed A452 Brownhills.
  6. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit.
  7. At the following roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the B4438.
  8. Take the 1st exit at the next roundabout.
  9. The car park is on your left, just beyond the Premier Inn.

Directions from the M42 (Southbound, from the north)

  1. Exit the M42 at Junction 6.
  2. Take the 1st exit, avoiding the first slip road on your left, and follow signs for A45 Coventry.
  3. Stay in the nearside lane and take the slip road for A452 Brownhills.
  4. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit signed A452 Brownhills.
  5. As the road splits, bear left in the nearside lane (still signed A452 Brownhills).
  6. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit.
  7. At the following roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the B4438.
  8. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit.
  9. The car park will be on your left, just past the Premier Inn.

Arrival instructions

When you arrive at the car park:

  1. Pull up to the barrier at the entrance.
  2. A member of the APH Birmingham Short Run team will come to your window to confirm your booking details.
  3. They’ll direct you to a parking space and give you a receipt with important return instructions — keep this receipt safe.
  4. Once confirmed, the team member will open the barrier and let you in.

Shuttle transfers run regularly, 24 hours a day.
The journey to the terminal takes around 5 minutes, and transfers are included in the price.

Return instructions

When you return from your trip:

  1. Make your way to Bus Stop A, where you were originally dropped off.
  2. Once there, call APH Birmingham Short Run on 0121 794 2600 to request your return transfer.
  3. A shuttle will be sent to pick you up and will drop you off in the zone where your car is parked, so you only have a short walk to your vehicle.
  4. The team will also assist you with your luggage.

Important information

The car park accepts most standard vehicles, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • No trailers or commercial vehicles
  • No vehicles with 8 or more seats
  • Must fit under the 2.1-metre height barrier
  • Must fit within a standard parking bay (2m x 5m)

Vehicles not accepted include:

  • High-sided vehicles
  • Minibuses
  • Mobile homes
  • Lorries
  • Caravans or trailers
  • Any vehicle larger than the maximum size stated above

If your vehicle does not meet these requirements, it cannot be parked at this facility.

Blue Badge Parking
If you require a Blue Badge parking space, please add a comment to your booking and call the car park directly at least 24 hours before your arrival. This gives staff time to reserve a dedicated space or position your vehicle as close as possible to the bus pick-up point.

Taxi-Licensed Vehicles
Cars with a taxi licence plate can park on-site, but cannot use Airparks’ Return Greet or Meet and Greet services.

Arriving Early or Late?
The car park may offer a grace period up until midnight on your scheduled return day. This is at the car park’s discretion.
If you return after midnight, you may be charged the standard rate of £20 per additional day. This rate is subject to change.

Paperless Booking
To support sustainability, there’s no need to print your booking confirmation.
Simply show it on your mobile device when you arrive.

Security

You keep your car keys, so your vehicle will stay exactly where you parked it for the duration of your trip.

The car park is fully secured with the following features:

  • Regular staff patrols
  • 24-hour CCTV surveillance
  • Barrier-controlled entry and exit

These measures ensure your vehicle is safe while you’re away.

Disabled facilities

There are 6 disabled parking spaces available on-site.

If you need to use one of these spaces, please call the car park in advance. Staff will make arrangements to ensure your vehicle is parked as close as possible to the bus pick-up point for easier access.

Transfer details

Shuttle transfers operate 24 hours a day, running regularly throughout the day and night.

Transfer time to Birmingham Airport is approximately 5 minutes and is included in the price.

You’ll be dropped off and picked up at Bus Stop A, located just outside the terminal.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Our Flexible booking option offers you the convenience and flexibility you need. Here’s how it works:
    1. Need to Change Your Plans?
      • You can cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours before your parking period begins without any charges.
    2. Parking Period:
      • Your parking period starts at 12:01 AM on the first day of your booked dates, regardless of your pre-booked arrival time.
    3. Important to Note:
      • If you don’t cancel or update your booking at least 24 hours before your parking period begins, we’ll need to charge you for the full booking. Also, please be aware that we can’t offer refunds if you return earlier than planned.
    4. Booking Adjustments:
      • If you make changes to your booking and the price changes, we’ll either charge or refund the difference based on your adjustments.
